U.S. Congressman Lou Correa, representing California’s 46th district, has been active on social media, addressing his legislative initiatives and collaborations across political lines. Correa, who has served in Congress since 2017, previously held positions in various California state legislative bodies and local government.

In a post on May 1, 2025, Correa stated, “The second would ensure that funding for ICE *cannot* be used to support raids in public schools.” This tweet suggests that Correa is advocating for legislation to limit federal immigration enforcement activities, particularly in educational settings.

Later the same day, Correa shared another tweet explaining past events, “Last month ICE officers showed up at a Los Angeles Elementary School to conduct a ‘health check’ on some elementary school children, without parental authorization.” He added that his legislative amendments failed to receive support from his Republican colleagues: “None of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle, voted for my amendments. Sad !!'”

On May 2, 2025, Correa acknowledged bipartisan efforts to assist veterans, stating, “It looks like @SecVetAffairs is moving ahead aggressively to help Vets with PTSD and other invisible battlefield scars.” He expressed optimism about both parties working together, emphasizing his commitment to fulfill constituent needs, “That’s why you sent us to Washington—to fix things for our taxpayers.”

Rep. Lou Correa, whose diverse political career includes experience in state legislation and county governance, continues to advocate for policies aimed at safeguarding vulnerable populations and improving services for veterans.
