The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cited NRS Enterprises, Inc. in Costa Mesa for five violations identified during a Feb. 27 inspection, according to data posted on the FDA’s website.

The scope of the inspection included the following areas:

  • Foodborne Biological Hazards

The FDA’s website reports the following citations were issued to the company:

  • ‘You did not maintain your plant in adequate repair.’
  • ‘You did not exclude pests from your food plant to protect against contamination of food.’
  • ‘You did not clean your non-food contact surface in a manner and as frequently as necessary to protect against contamination.’
  • ‘Your equipment and utensils were not designed and constructed to be adequately cleaned or maintained to protect against contamination.’
  • ‘You did not have a written food safety plan.’
