The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cited NRS Enterprises, Inc. in Costa Mesa for five violations identified during a Feb. 27 inspection, according to data posted on the FDA’s website.
The scope of the inspection included the following areas:

- Foodborne Biological Hazards
The FDA’s website reports the following citations were issued to the company:
- ‘You did not maintain your plant in adequate repair.’
- ‘You did not exclude pests from your food plant to protect against contamination of food.’
- ‘You did not clean your non-food contact surface in a manner and as frequently as necessary to protect against contamination.’
- ‘Your equipment and utensils were not designed and constructed to be adequately cleaned or maintained to protect against contamination.’
- ‘You did not have a written food safety plan.’
The FDA carries out routine inspections at facilities nationwide to assess compliance with federal laws and regulations designed to protect public health, and reports the outcomes publicly.
