Former Woodbridge High School star Mia Tamkoc and her college team, the Southern Utah Thunderbirds, were defeated 18-0 by the Utah Utes in an NCAA Division I softball contest held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4.

Dumke Family Softball Stadium served as the venue for the game. This marked the first time the Thunderbirds faced the Utes this season.

Tamkoc pitched one inning, allowing four earned runs.

The Thunderbirds will play their next game on Friday, March 20, at 1 p.m. at Kathryn Berg Field against the California Baptist Lancers.
