Assemblymember Diane Dixon of Newport Beach has acknowledged the Foundation of Laguna Woods Village as her 2025 Non-Profit of the Year. This recognition highlights the Foundation’s commitment to supporting residents within Laguna Woods Village.

“The Foundation is an excellent resource for Laguna Woods Village,” Assemblymember Dixon stated, emphasizing their motto “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” as a significant benefit in today’s society.

Celebrating its 28th anniversary this month, the Foundation has provided over $1.2 million in funding to support village members over the past five years. Their services include financial assistance for bills, groceries, and gas, as well as transportation to local food pantries and provision of earthquake disaster kits. The organization also funds Meals on Wheels and offers Alzheimer’s scholarships for daytime service.

“It is an honor to recognize the Foundation as my non-profit of the year,” said Assemblymember Dixon. She expressed gratitude for their contributions to the Laguna Woods Village community.

Assemblymember Diane Dixon represents California’s 72nd Assembly District, which includes areas such as Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and several others. She brings experience as a pragmatic businesswoman and former Mayor to her role in the California Legislature.
