Representative Lou Correa, who serves California’s 46th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing cultural celebrations, government transparency, and budget negotiations.
On September 15, 2025, Correa shared his participation in a local event: “Santa Ana Calif, at Fiestas Patrias, celebrating Mexican Independence day. We’re proud Americans celebrating our Mexican heritage.”
The following day, Correa called for greater transparency regarding high-profile legal matters. On September 16, he wrote: “Everyone deserves fair treatment under the law. That’s why we must release all of the Epstein Files. Congress is just one signature short of forcing it to a vote. Let’s get this job done.”
Later that same day, Correa addressed ongoing federal budget discussions and emphasized bipartisan cooperation while defending healthcare funding: “I want to work with my Republican colleagues to make sure that our government stays open. Our only ask? No cuts to healthcare. We have 15 days to pass this new budget. It’s time to get to work.”
Correa has represented California’s 46th District since 2017 after succeeding Loretta Sánchez. He previously served in the California State Assembly from 1998 to 2004, on the California Senate from 2006 to 2014, and on the Orange County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2006. Born in East Los Angeles in 1958 and currently residing in Santa Ana, Correa holds degrees from California State University, Fullerton (BA) and UCLA (JD).
