U.S. Representative Lou Correa, who serves California’s 46th district, recently addressed issues affecting his constituents through a series of posts on social media.
On March 16, 2026, Correa called attention to the dangers posed by online scams, particularly for older Americans. He stated, “Too many of us, especially our elderly, fall prey to online scammers. We need to pass the SCAM Act—legislation I introduced to combat predatory online advertisements—so we can have strong guardrails in place across all platforms protecting American consumers and assure we’re”.
Later that day, Correa highlighted a recent roundtable discussion involving House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Congressman Derek Tran with local veterans in Orange County. In his post dated March 16, 2026, he wrote: “Honored to have @RepJeffries join me and @derektranCA45 last week for a roundtable discussion with local OC Veterans about issues their community faces. Servicemembers, veterans, and their families have made major sacrifices for our country, and the federal government has an”.
On March 17, 2026, Correa shared greetings for St. Patrick’s Day directed at his Orange County constituents: “Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Orange County! https://t.co/nsYWgUfkUv”.
Correa has served in Congress since replacing Loretta Sánchez in 2017. Before his tenure in Washington D.C., he was active in state and local government as a member of the California State Assembly from 1998 to 2004, the Orange County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2006, and the California Senate from 2006 to 2014. Born in East Los Angeles in 1958 and currently residing in Santa Ana at age 65, Correa holds degrees from California State University, Fullerton (BA) and UCLA (JD).
