Representative Lou Correa, a member of the U.S. Congress for California’s 46th district since 2017, recently addressed several issues on his social media account, ranging from international affairs to local economic development and individual recognition.
On July 21, 2025, Correa commented on recent developments in Syria: “Syria just ousted the brutal Assad regime and their new President Ahmed al-Sharaa is working to build back the nation. The U.S. is also assisting with this effort. President Trump just suspended sanctions on Syria. I agree with President Trump—let’s help Syria get back on its”.
The following day, July 22, he highlighted the service of a veteran: “Alejandro Barranco is veteran who served this great country, and could be called back to serve at any time. They make movies about people like him.

On July 23, Correa announced a legislative initiative aimed at supporting small businesses affected by construction projects: “Construction projects move us forward and spark more economic development. But, this progress can’t come at the expense of small businesses. Today, I’m introducing the BUMP Act—to ensure that our small businesses on Main Street can stay afloat while construction proceeds.”
Correa has held public office for over two decades. Born in East Los Angeles in 1958 and currently residing in Santa Ana, Correa holds degrees from California State University, Fullerton (BA) and UCLA (JD).
