Rep. Lou Correa, representing California’s 46th district, has shared several messages on social media reflecting on various issues. As a member of the U.S. Congress, Correa’s posts touched on immigration, education, and cultural celebrations.

On April 12, 2025, Lou Correa emphasized the significant contributions of immigrants to the economy, stating that “Immigrants do pay taxes and are an important part of our economy.”

On the following day, April 13, 2025, Correa extended a festive greeting to those observing Passover, simply stating “Chag Sameach. Happy Passover.”

On April 14, 2025, Lou Correa met with California State University Fullerton President Ronald Rochon in Washington. He highlighted the discussion on issues affecting the “Titan family,” notably proposed budget cuts within the California State University system. Correa asserted, “Every student deserves a quality education, and Congress should continue investing in our next generation.”

Correa has had a long and varied political career, serving in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Loretta Sánchez. He has held several roles within California’s state government. Born in East Los Angeles in 1958, Correa is an alumnus of California State University, Fullerton and the University of California, Los Angeles.
