Rep. Lou Correa, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 46th district since 2017, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from Veterans Day commemorations to the ongoing debate over affordable health care and congressional funding measures.
On November 11, 2025, Correa marked Veterans Day with a tribute to military service members, stating: “All our veterans gave some, and some paid the ultimate sacrifice. On today’s Veterans Day, we honor our servicemen and women who put their lives on the line for this great nation.”
A day later, on November 12, 2025, Correa commented on the continuing struggle in Congress over government funding and health care access. He wrote: “For the past seven weeks, we’ve been fighting for affordable health care. If the government reopens, it’s a win for the President but a loss for the American people. That’s why I’m voting no on this CR. Hardworking Americans will soon not be able to afford health insurance. I’ll”
On November 13, 2025, following a congressional vote on a continuing resolution (CR), Correa addressed concerns about health care coverage: “Tonight Congress voted on a CR that left millions of Americans’ health care on the line. That’s why we’re starting a petition to protect affordable health care tax credits for three more years. The fight continues. Let’s protect health care on Main Street.”
Correa has represented California’s 46th District in Congress since succeeding Loretta Sánchez in 2017 and previously served in both chambers of California’s legislature as well as on the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Born in East Los Angeles in 1958 and currently residing in Santa Ana, he holds degrees from California State University, Fullerton (BA) and UCLA (JD).
