Representative Lou Correa, who serves California’s 46th district, shared updates through a series of social media posts. He recognized and celebrated several groups and events in early April 2025.

On April 3, Rep. Correa tweeted about attending events to honor veterans and first responders, emphasizing the significance of the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. He stated, “Over the weekend, I stopped by several events honoring our veterans and first responders. It was especially great to see our Vietnam vets on the 50th anniversary of the end of the War. We must do our part to give them the proper “Welcome Home!” they didn’t receive 50 years ago.”

Another tweet on April 4 highlighted the story of Carlo, a financial auditor and DACA recipient. Correa mentioned Carlo’s journey, from working as a janitor to obtaining his CPA license last year. Correa remarked, “Meet Carlo, a financial auditor who worked as a janitor while studying to help his family. He earned his CPA license just last year. He’s also a DACA recipient. Citizenship is more than a goal for our hardworking neighbors—it’s a step towards achieving the American Dream.”

Later that day, he wished luck to the baseball team known as the Angels for their first home game, tweeting, “Today’s the first home game of the season for our @Angels—good luck!”
