UC Irvine Homecoming Block Party brings together 2,000 attendees for annual celebration

The University of California, Irvine welcomed about 2,000 attendees to its Homecoming Block Party on Feb. 28, as reported in a recent announcement. The event took place at the Bren Events Center and featured a variety of activities for students, alumni, and community members.

The Homecoming Block Party is an important tradition that fosters school spirit and strengthens connections among the university community. The event included carnival games, a Ferris wheel, live music performances by campus groups such as Mariachi Orgullo de UCI and Ballet Folklorico de UCI, and informational booths sponsored by campus units and UCI Health.

As the day progressed, guests moved inside the Bren Events Center to watch the UC Irvine men’s basketball team compete against UC Santa Barbara. The Anteaters secured a victory in front of their home crowd. Attendees described the day as one filled with fun activities and opportunities to connect with both new friends and longtime acquaintances.
