Rep. Katie Porter, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 47th district since 2019, has shared her thoughts on various topics through social media posts in November 2024. Her tweets cover subjects ranging from national parks and voting processes to transgender rights.

On November 18, Rep. Porter expressed her appreciation for national parks, emphasizing their value for hiking enthusiasts. She stated, "There’s no place better to hike than our beautiful national parks! Californians are lucky to have so many of these treasures in our backyard, so whether you went for a stroll through the sequoias or trekked through the desert, I hope you enjoyed #NationalHikingDay."

The following day, on November 19, she highlighted her legislative efforts regarding voting processes with a focus on ballot tracking. She tweeted about her recently passed Vote By Mail Tracking Act: "We should be able to track a ballot just like we can track a package. California already does this, but my Vote By Mail Tracking Act—which just passed the House—would add a barcode to each ballot nationwide, so every American can have confidence their vote is counted."

On November 20, Rep. Porter addressed issues concerning the LGBTQI+ community by commemorating Transgender Day of Remembrance. She expressed solidarity with transgender individuals who have faced violence and discrimination: "On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we remember and mourn all trans lives lost to violence. The onslaught of attacks against the LGBTQI+ community is antithetical to our shared values of freedom, equality, and respect. Hatred and violence have no place in America."
