Julia Brownley addresses Pearl Harbor anniversary and alerts Ventura County residents

Congresswoman Julia Brownley, representing California's 26th district since 2013, has recently shared several messages on social media addressing both historical and current events. Her tweets reflect on significant national history as well as provide timely information for her constituents in Ventura County.

On December 7, 2024, Congresswoman Brownley commemorated the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. She stated, "On this day 83 years ago, our nation faced a turning point that would shape the future of the world. Today, we remember the 2,403 lives lost during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and we honor the servicemembers and civilians who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country."

In a tweet dated December 9, 2024, she urged her followers to remain vigilant amidst changing conditions. She advised them to "Stay alert to changing conditions and please stay safe! For more information and timely updates, visit https://t.co/d1tO0hddt9".

Additionally, Congresswoman Brownley alerted residents of Ventura County about an impending weather event through a post on December 9, 2024. She informed them that "The National Weather Service is forecasting a Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) wind event for Ventura County starting Monday, December 9 – Wednesday, December 11, and has subsequently issued a Red Flag Warning."
