On December 2, 2024, Congresswoman Brownley commemorated World AIDS Day by highlighting the importance of remembering those lost to HIV/AIDS and supporting the millions living with the virus globally. She emphasized that this day serves as a reminder of both progress made and the work still needed. "Yesterday, we marked #WorldAIDSDay to remember those we have lost to HIV/AIDS and stand in solidarity with the 40 million people living with the virus worldwide. This day reminds us of the progress we have made and the work still ahead."

Later that same day, she underscored the significance of libraries as centers for learning and community connection. Brownley highlighted how investments in libraries not only enhance educational opportunities but also create jobs, drive economic growth, and strengthen cultural ties within communities. "Libraries are essential hubs of learning, connection, and community."

Additionally, on December 2nd, Congresswoman Brownley announced securing over $850,000 for Moorpark’s New City Library Project in collaboration with local leaders and stakeholders. The funds will be used to construct a modern library equipped with advanced facilities. "In partnership with local leaders and key community stakeholders, I’m proud to announce that I was able to secure over $850,000 for the City of Moorpark’s New City Library Project."
