On March 20, 2025, Correa tweeted about participating in the Santiago Little League's Opening Ceremony at El Salvador Park. He noted the league's longstanding role since 1993 in teaching children valuable skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship through America's pastime. "It was a sunny day at El Salvador Park as I joined Santiago Little League for the season's Opening Ceremony."

Later that day, he highlighted the critical services provided by the Department of Education. Correa emphasized that these services are vital to students, educators, and institutions in his district, which benefits from over $300 million in federal education funds. "For decades, the Department of Education has provided services that students, educators, & institutions rely on."

In another tweet on March 20th, Correa expressed concern about potential impacts if the Department of Education were to shut down. He questioned how communities would access essential services and called attention to uncertainties surrounding future plans for students and educators. "If the Department of Education is shut down, how will our communities access these essential services?"
