Rep. Lou Correa, a congressman representing California's 46th district since 2017, recently shared updates on various community-focused initiatives. Correa, who has been a public servant in different capacities since 1998, emphasized his continued efforts to support the community in multiple areas.

On April 9, 2025, Rep. Lou Correa announced the hosting of his 6th annual “Women of the Year” Awards. Emphasizing the contribution of women in Orange County, he encouraged the community to "nominate outstanding women who make this special place a home".

Later that day, Correa expressed his support for the introduction of the Hands Off Medicaid and SNAP Act. He highlighted the importance of this legislation for Orange County residents by stating "thousands of taxpayers depend on SNAP and Medicaid to provide for their families." He noted the impetus to protect these essential programs that provide vital support to working families.

In addition, Correa addressed the needs of Vietnam veterans, advocating for their recognition and support. Reflecting on their service, he stated, "Vietnam veterans deserve respect, dignity, and a proper welcome home," emphasizing the long-standing obligation to honor those who served in silence.
