Congresswoman Julia Brownley, representing California's 26th district since 2013, has recently taken to social media to express her concerns on several pressing issues. Brownley, who succeeded David Dreier in Congress and previously served in the California State Assembly, shared her views through a series of tweets addressing political accountability, national security, and gender wage disparity. In a tweet dated March 25, 2025, Brownley criticized the Republican members of the House and Senate for their lack of action regarding oversight of the current administration. She stated:

"Yet, Republicans in the House and Senate remain silent and refuse to hold this administration accountable through any kind of oversight. Their inaction is not just shameful, it’s a dereliction of duty."On the same day, she raised concerns about national security issues stemming from alleged mishandling of classified information. Brownley remarked:

"Their reckless mishandling of classified information and blatant security failures endanger our servicemembers and put our national security at risk."Later that day, Congresswoman Brownley addressed the issue of gender pay inequality. Highlighting recent statistics showing a widening gap for the first time in two decades, she tweeted:

"For the first time in 20 years, the gender wage gap has widened. Women are now paid just 75 cents for every dollar that men make. Over a course of a 40-year career, that adds up to more than $573,000 in lost wages. On #EqualPayDay we remind the world: Women deserve equal pay."
