Congresswoman Julia Brownley has been active on social media, where she focuses on issues related to social welfare and budgetary constraints affecting vulnerable populations. Representing California's 26th district, her recent posts shed light on significant concerns related to Social Security and government budget proposals.

On April 15, Congresswoman Brownley emphasized the role of Social Security as a stabilizing force amidst financial uncertainties. "Social Security delivers – no matter what. While markets are volatile and retirement savings swing unpredictably, Social Security is working to provide stability for seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and vulnerable populations across the country. More than 70".

Two days later, on April 17, Brownley continued her focus on financial security and healthcare services. One post included just a link, https://t.co/3OqnuPxKzc, with no additional commentary. In a separate tweet on the same day, Brownley discussed the importance of Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) for certain demographics. She shared her concerns about budget cuts, stating, "Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) are essential for veterans, seniors, and low-income individuals. Unfortunately – but not unsurprisingly – the proposed Republican budget threatens to gut Medicaid, leading to devastating cuts that could drastically reduce services or even https://t.co/JPWf3Smbpb".

Julia Brownley has served in the U.S. Congress, representing California's 26th District, since 2013. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2012. Brownley graduated from George Washington University in 1975 with a BA and again in 1979 from American University.
